Indiana Wine Grape Reception

Indiana Wine Grape Banquet Executive Chef, Anthony Puma will prepare a meal featuring food/wine pairings that are designed to provide the ultimate culinary experience. The banquet program also includes recognition of people who have made outstanding contributions to Indiana’s Wine Grape Industry. The banquet will be held on:

IHC Luncheon & Awards Ceremony
This luncheon will be held on the last day of the conference in the Golden Preconvene. Peter Hirst will announce recipients of the winning bids for the Silent Auction items, the name of the 2011 Best Indiana Cider, and the winners of the commodities awards. This luncheon will be held on:

IHC Social Hour
This gathering takes place in the Hall of Champions Trade Show on Wednesday evening at 5:30pm. It is open to all IHC registrants, exhibitors, and speakers who wish to network and enjoy informal discussions and social interactions. Admission is free with your IHC name badge. Gratis drink tickets will be given to all our sponsors, and the cash bar is available to everyone.
Cider Contest
The cider contest will judge the best cider produced by Indiana cider makers. To enter, please submit two 1-gallon jugs of cider to the registration desk on Tuesday from 7:30am to 6:00pm or Wednesday morning from 7:30am to noon. Please do not leave the cider at the desk without signing in with registration desk personnel. Samples for judging will be available on Wednesday afternoon near the registration desk area. Winners will be announced at the IHC Luncheon on Thursday afternoon.
Raw Products Luncheon
This luncheon is sponsored by Red Gold, Inc. The featured speaker will address issues of importance to tomato growers and processors. The program will include recognition of those making significant contributions to the industry. This luncheon will be held on:

Silent Auction
A silent auction will be held to benefit the Tree Fruit Research and Extension Fund and the Vegetable Extension and Research Fund. In addition to raising funds to help support these programs, the Silent Auction is a great opportunity for attendees to pick up useful, interesting and sometimes unusual items. Silent bids will be taken at booth #13 all day on Wednesday, and Thursday morning. Winners of the bids will be announced at the IHC Luncheon on Thursday, (tickets are required for the IHC Luncheon).

Screening of "The Greenhorns"
A documentary film completed after almost three years in production, explores the lives ofAmerica's young farming community - it's spirit, practices, and needs. It is the filmmaker's hope that by broadcasting the stories and voices of these young farmers, we can build the case for those considering a career in agriculture - to embolden them, to entice them and to recruit the into farming.
